In Memorium

Bernard G. “BG” O’Reilly, 70, of Lake Geneva, WI, lost his battle with head/neck cancer on March 8, 2014 while vacationing in Florida. He was raised in LaGrange, IL by Bernie and Edna O’Reilly.

BG graduated from Culver Military Academy, received his BA from Amherst College, an MA from Indiana University, and another MA from Central Michigan.

He worked at Culver Academy, Interlochen Arts Academy, Emery Riddle, and 10 years in Saudi Arabia. BG spent most of his career in education and aviation, ending with the past ten years as Director of Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva.

BG is survived by: His wife Sarah, 2 step-daughters; Elizabeth (Ken Teitsort) Born of Portland, OR and Amy (Josh Weise) Born of St. Louis, MO, 2 grandchildren; Miles Teitsort and Vivian Weise, and a brother Larry Gortner of Colorado Springs, CO.

A Celebration of BG’s life will be held on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Horticultural Hall, 330 Broad St. in Lake Geneva. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy contributions are requested in BG’s name to Horticultural Hall (http://www.horticulturalhall.com/)
