Larry Dolin — Deceased Nov 29, 2010

Larry Dolin, owner of the Front Row Theater for 20 years, died Nov. 29 at age 67. The theater drew many famous performers to the area and hosted benefits and other events. After closing the Front Row in 1994, Mr. Dolin ran Playhouse Square for five years.

In 1998, Mr. Dolin changed careers and started Noteworthy Medical Systems, which computerizes medical records for clients around the U.S. He led the company until last year. He also consulted with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Medical School on electronic medical records and taught at Weatherhead School of Management.

Mr. Dolin, a member of The Temple-Tifereth Israel, belonged to The Oakwood Club, Mayfield and Beechmont Country Clubs and The Union Club. He served on many boards, including Morgan's Food, Falconstor, 3D Real Estate Partners, Wexner Foundation, and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

Fond of golf, travel and classical music, Mr. Dolin composed many stories and collected vibrant neckties. A graduate of Culver Military Academy, Mr. Dolin attended Reed College and received his bachelor's, master's and law degrees from CWRU. Early in his career, he practiced law at Thompson, Hine & Flory. He had a lifelong appreciation for education and encouraged many employees to pursue additional study over the course of his career.

Mr. Dolin is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deedra; sons Jamie and Jon (Jillian); daughter Jennifer (Andy); three grandchildren; and sister Karyn Hirsch. Contributions are suggested to The Taussig Cancer Center c/o The Cleveland Clinic or to The Temple-Tifereth Israel
