Culver Mini Reunion

Organized by Dan Baker with the support of Academy Staff & Craig Duchossois

Plans have firmed up for a Mini Reunion at and around the Culver campus on October 3-6, 2024. The primary objectives are to

give classmates a chance to return to campus when there is a lull in large-attendance activities (e.g., not Commencement, not reunion time, not Parents Weekend, not Homecoming) and to not over-schedule anyone.
simply provide time and place to gather some classmates (and their spouses) to spend some leisurely time in environment of camaraderie.

As of September 27th, this is the list of those planning to attend:

Casual (shorts, jeans, collared shirts) except for Chapel.

Men are requested to wear khaki pants to football game for March-On.

Starting at 3 PM: Check in at The Homestead upon arrival (508 E. Shore Drive)
- Pickup keys for Academy homes and Goodie Bags here
- Bar opens at 4 PM
- The Homestead will be our Headquarters for the duration of the Mini
Optional No-Host Dinner at The Homestead: Delivery from Papa’s …
… or bar chicken (from Café Max)

Breakfast at the Dining Hall or on your own
9:30 AM — 11:00 AM: Campus Tour of New Construction (Transportation will be provided)
- Start at Schrage Leadership Center
- End at Eagle Outfitters (a/k/a The Bookstore; under the Mess … er … Dining … Hall)
11:30 AM: Meet in Legion Memorial Building
- Lunch with Duchossois & Hartman Scholars in the Heritage Room

- 1:15 PM — 2:20 PM: Academic Update from:
  - Josh Pretzer (Dean of Faculty)
  - Steven Pietraszek (Director of Enrollment)
5:00 PM: Cocktail Hour: Location TBA
5:45 PM: Dinner: Eagle Stadium Suites
- There will be a $30/person charge for dinner & incidentals
7:00 PM: Football Game vs. Bremen High School (Class seating blocked)
- Game to be preceded by a March-on by Mini Reunion attendees
  - Men: Please wear khaki pants with sweater provided
  - Women: You are cordially invited to join your husbands for the March-on; sweaters provided
- Half-time: Desert served in Suites
- Parking across Highway 117 (East of Oliver Field)

Breakfast at the Dining Hall (available) or on your own.
Golf (Time TBD; Greens/carts fee TBA)
10:00 AM CGA U16 Hockey vs St. Louis Lady Blues
11:00 AM CGA JV Soccer vs South Bend Adams High School
Noon CGA U19 Hockey vs St. Louis Lady Blues
Noon: Lunch
- Guys: On your own
- Spouses: Luncheon in The White-DeVries Rowing Center

12:30 PM CGA Varsity Soccer vs South Bend Adams
Afternoon:
- Hangout or watch other Culver Academies varsity sports (Schedule to be provided)
- 1:00 - 4:00 PM: The Lodge Par 3 Golf Course open
  - Location: 18997 20A Road (Same as tonight’s dinner)
  - Clubs and balls provided
- 2:00 - 4:00 PM: Columbarium open
5:30 PM Dinner: Craig and Janet Duchossois hosting
- Location: Lodge Barn, 18997 20A Road (there will be a sign at the entrance with plenty of parking)
- Dress Code: Country casual
- 5:30 PM: Bar opens
- 7:15 PM: Dinner
