Alan Loehr

Alan has served as Director of Stewardship for the Culver Academies since January 2023, after serving 32 years as Director of Alumni Relations. His new office is the central point for all donor relations.

He originally joined the Culver faculty as an intern in the History Department after earning his B.A. in U.S. History from Tulane University in 1986. In June 1991, he was appointed Director of Alumni Relations following in the footsteps of Bob Hartman. While overseeing all alumni affairs, his office served as headquarters for The Culver Legion and The Culver Summer Schools Alumni Association. He served as the assistant coach of the CMA tennis team for 13 years, under Colin Stetson.  He succeeded “Stets” as head coach in 1999, and enters his 25th year overseeing that program.  He has done two separate stints as head coach of the CGA tennis team.  

He and his wife, Wendy, are natives of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They have two daughters, Avery CGA ‘27 and Eliza CGA ’24.
